This module traced the rise of conservatism during the 1980s under President Ronald Reagan and the impact of presidential policies on the American people over the past three decades. The dominant theme of the module was that of a changing economic, social, and political landscape since 1980. It concluded with the presidency of Barack Obama in the context of the history of the War on Terror since September 11, 2001.
